Bowling on the southside of Indianapolis

Expo Bowling Center hosted the 2nd Annual Middle School Regional bowling tournament this past weekend.  Youth bowlers from all over the area participated with 1 in 6 singles advancing and 1 in 4 teams advancing to the State Finals Bowling Tournament to be held this Saturday, May 22nd in Anderson, Indiana.  We'd like to congratulate all the youth bowlers and especially Expo's bowlers. Perry Meridian bowlers moving on in the singles divisions were; Robert Woodcock, Tara Faulkner, Michael Shipley and Brenden Clark.  Steven Spears, Bradley Morgan, Michael Shipley and Robert Woodcock advanced in the team event.  Good Luck to these wonderful young bowlers! 

Expo is hosting another great event in Indianapolis with the first State AAU Bowling tournament.  This event will take place this Saturday 5/22/10.  Competition starts at 11am.  Call 787-3448 or email sbrehob@royalpin.com for more details or to sign-up.  Walk-ins are welcome providing space is available.  You can visit the AAU Bowling website at www.aaubowling.org to join AAU. 

Summer League Bowling is a great way to spend your free time.  We're still taking sign-ups for summer leagues with a few yet to start.  Our A/J Hav-a-ball League begins 5/29, Monday Nite owls begins 5/24 and June Trios begins 6/10.  We can also find a spot for you on a league if you don't have your own team.  If you like free bowling, mustang convertibles and merchandise coupons, sign up today!!

Another great event in Indianapolis is the Indianapolis Open Bowling Tournament. Expo Bowling Center is hosting this bowling tournament June 5-6, 2010.  A "Sweeper" Tournament will be held Friday the 4th. Bowling In Southern Indianapolis

Greetings from Expo Bowling Center!

Expo Bowling Center is pumped for their summer league bowling season.  We are in full swing flooring our leagues but it's not too late to join a league.

Summer league bowling is a great way to get out of the heat, spend time with family and friends, keep your bowling skills up (or if you're a beginner, learn to bowl) and get free bowling and coupon giv-a-ways weekly.

All our summer league bowlers receive one free game of bowling for each paid game of league bowling.  Not only that but adults have the chance to win the Royal Pin Mustang Convertible.  Merchant coupons are given away nightly. 

Kids bowling in our youth and youth/adult leagues go to King's Island at the end of their bowling league season (f they choose that option.)

Leagues will be forming for the next few weeks and we have leagues for every age and ability.  You don't have to have a full team to bowl.  We can put together a team for you.  What a great way to make new friends!

Laser Tag and Bowling Birthday Parties are still a popular way to celebrate your child's birthday.  We can accommodate you most any day or time so call us to reserve this important event for your child.  You're never at the mercy of the weather when planning your party.  It may be warm outside but it never rains in the bowling center or laser tag arena.

Would you like to return to the "Good Old Days" Well you can by participating in Indianapolis’ Royal Pin’s Leisure Centers "Dollar Days" promotion on Saturday, May 10, 2010. It is one of the top bowling events in Indianapolis this weekend

"Let's Party" as it is an ideal time to take your family and friends out bowling in Indianapolis and save a few bucks, so plan a bowling party today.

The "Dollar Days" promotion features "$1.00 Bowling Games. Shoes, Hot Dogs and Soda Pop." The special runs from 9 AM to 5 PM on Saturday.

Don’t live close to Western Bowl Indianapolis? Don’t fret the promo is not only going on at Western Bowl Indianapolis, but also at Expo Bowling Center, Woodland Bowling Center and Southern Bowling Center in Greenwood.

In addition to the $1.00 Days feature, Western Bowl Indianapolis is also hosting the "1st Annual Mike Downey Youth Scholarship Tournament." A $500, 1st Place is guaranteed to the top male and female bowling in this Indianapolis Youth  Bowling Tournament.

Entry fee is $35 and the handicap used will be 90% of 200. Current league average accepted.

Downey who was one of the top bowlers in the Indianapolis Bowling Association passed away last year of a heat attack at the age of 38. Because of he love for bowling his wife and close friends want to give something back to the bowling community in Mike’s honor.

Bowling with the "Easter Bunny"

Holiday Kid's Bowling Parties are in full rhythm at Western Bowl

This weekend Indianapolis' Royal Pin Leisure Bowling Centers featured" Kids
Bowling Party" was "Bowling with the Easter Bunny." The feature started
right after the Saturday Youth Bowling Leagues finished. 24 "In awe" kids
were thrilled that "Easter Bunny" took time out of his busy schedule to bowl
with them "at Indianapolis' Western Bowl, last Saturday afternoon.

At the "Kid's Bowling Party with Easter Bunny" the excited and happy
children had the opportunity to sit on "Easter Bunny's" lap. All of Kids at
the bowling party had their picture taken with the "Bunny", as a remembrance
of this "Happy Time" to take home.  Another highlight was when the "Easter
Bunny" went and hopped along with the kids going lane to lane, bowling along
the way and interacting with the kid's. For only $9.99 all the participants
got there shoes, bowled two games and had a snack of fruit punch drink, an
Oreo cookie package and of course Easter eggs.

Here a few of the comments made by the parents in attendance at this Kid's
Bowling Party in Indianapolis.

Nikita comment: "Great Kid's Party." I think it is good that there is some
place to take the kids to do something fun for the Holidays, Thank you!"

Mike comments: "Awesome "Fun" bowling party for my 6 year old. The "Disco"

Indianapolis Bowling Centers

Expo Bowl has awesome league bowlers!  Frank O Steinbach from our Trophy House Bowling League was the winner of the Lumber Liquidators Pro-Am Tournament that was held at Woodland Bowl last month. You can go to our website at www.royalpin.com to see all the results of the Pro Am.

Our 5th 9 Pin No Tap Tournament of this bowling season was held this past Sunday night.  First place was taken by Norma Findley with an 894, Jeff Strong came in 2nd with an 877.  Jeff had two 300 games followed up w/ a 277.  Cindee Franklin had a 300 game on her 3rd game.  Jeff and Cindee were the top two winners in the scratch pop.  Our next 9 Pin No Tap Tournament will be Sunday, April 24th at 7pm.  This bowling tournament is becoming one of the premier events to attend in Indianapolis bowling centers.

Winter Bowling Leagues are almost over and we're gearing up for Summer Leagues.  We're going places this summer with our King's Island, Belterra Casino & Resort, and our Brickyard 400 leagues.  Bowlers are getting excited about our league programs and signing up. 
Lori J. said "We had the best time last year in the Belterra League.  Bowling was just one of the perks.  We all made friends in the league and had a great time on the trip.  Royal Pin took great care of us at the Casino as well as the staff at the bowling center.  We can't wait to start our bowling league!"
Paul M. who goes on the King's Island Trip with our kids every year said "Our Saturday morning youth program is one of the best in the city and the kids get to go to King's Island as an end of the season event.   
Expo Bowl  hosted the Eagle's State Bowling Tournament every weekend in March.  The Youth State Bowling Tournament is being held here every weekend thru May 2nd.  Bowling w/ the Easter Bunny is this Easter Weekend.

"It was the Best Birthday Party Ever!"

In full swing at Western Bowl Indianapolis are "Kid's Bowling Birthday Parties."  Plus, it doen't hurt that Western Bowl Indianapolis just happens to be one of the most modern and finest bowling alleys in Indiana. The center is also host to many of the Bowling Special Events in Indianapolis.

Here's an e-mail from an elated Dad who recently had a "Kid's Bowling Birthday Party" at Western Bowl Indianapolis.

In his e-mail the Dad Howard simply stated, "It was the Best Party Ever!"

He added, "I'm sorry to get back with you so late, I got a comment card and found it on my desk today. We had my daughters 11th birthday party last Saturday, our host was "Zack he was GREAT!"  We were very well taken care of."

"All the kids loved him and my daughter said that this was the "Best Party Ever" and we have had some big parties for her."

"We were greeted by your staff with a  "warm welcome." I just can't say enough  about you guys. "KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! "

"I also got information from a lady @ a table regarding a league and we are considering doing that. "

Bowling in Indianapolis

Expo Bowling Center is hosting it's 5th 9 Pin No Tap Tournament this Sunday (3/28) at 7pm. 
The next Fun Event in Indianapolis that Expo Bowl is hosting is our Annual Bowl w/ the Easter Bunny.  The cost is only $9.99 per person and each child gets to bowl 2 games. have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny, get a snack and Easter eggs.  Celebrate Easter with Us!
Kids Bowling Birthday Parties were a big part of the fun events in Indianapolis at Expo Bowling Center again this past weekend.

All of our Mid Season Leagues have floored but we have lots of Summer Leagues to offer.  Remember that every league bowler gets one free game of bowling for each game of league bowling, all adults have the opportunity to win the Royal Pin Mustang, merchant coupons and royal pin cafe coupons will be given out each week and kids in the Saturday Morning Youth League and adult/juniors in our Generation Gap League have the opportunity to go to King's Island at the end of their bowling season.

Southern Indianapolis Bowling

Expo Bowling Center hosted our first ever St. Patrick's Day Pot of Gold Bowling Tournament.  Thirteen doubles teams bowled 4 games of "Irish" Doubles.  Matt King & David McComb came in first place and won the "pot of gold" for $90.00.  Second place was Mary Beth and Jack Ballinger, league bowlers here at Expo Bowl and were paid $40.00.  Not bad for only $20.00 entry fee per doubles team! 

Our next fun bowling tournament is Sunday, March 28th for our 5th 9 Pin-No Tap Tournament. 

One of the premier Events in Indianapolis is our Bowl w/ the Easter Bunny!  Join us Saturday, April 3rd from 12-3pm.  For only $9.99 per person your child will receive 2 games of bowling, use of shoes, Easter eggs & snack and their picture w/ the Easter Bunny!  Reservations are required to hold your child's spot.  Walk ins will be welcome if space is available.  Call us at 317-787-3448 or email sbrehob@royalpin.com.

Western Bowl Indianapolis features three different "Hands Free" Bowling Birthday Parties suitable for any type of "Celebration" that will fit into your budget.

All Birthday packages are based on eight (8) children and feature one hour and 15 minutes of bowling, use of shoes, a decorated table on the concourse, with a balloon bouquet, an "Bowling Pin" for the Birthday Child for their friends to autograph as a "Keepsake." Plus, the Birthday Child also receives a "Free Membership" into the "Bowlopolis" Kids Club.

The "Spare" package which is only $74.99 and features: Ten (10) Arcade tokens per child attending the party. All of the guest also receive "Bowlopolis" coupons good for "FREE" Bowling, plus passes to "Greatimes Amusement Center, "Laser Storm" and "Pirates’ Cove Miniature Golf," If you like to invite additional guests over the eight (8) the cost $7.50 is each.

Our most popular "Strike" package is $98.99 features everything the "Spare" package does, but it also includes free "Bowlopolis" theme plates, napkins, invitations, balloons and temporary tattoos. You also receive a 22 ounce soft drink and your choice of Hot Dog & Chips, or Chicken Nuggets & Chips or Pizza & Chips (a Fruit Cup may replace chips on any food choice). Additional children may be added for $10.50 per person.

The Deluxe "300" package is $146.99 it features: All the items in the "Spare" & "Strike" programs but also includes a "Mylar balloon" and "Goodie Bags" for the guests of the party. Additional kids may be added for $16.50 each.

Bowling Events in Indianapolis

If you're looking for a fun event in Indianapolis check out our "Pot of Gold" Tournament this Saturday, March 13th at 6pm.  Each Doubles team will bowl 4 games of "Irish" Doubles at a price of only $20.00 per team.  The first place team will win $100.00 in "Gold" coins (prize fund is based on 20 doubles teams).  Wearing the green gets your name in a drawing for a special door prize.  Begin your St. Patrick's celebration, get your friends together and join us at Expo Bowl for this fun bowling tournament.

Another bowling tournament coming up is our 5th 9 Pin-No Tap tournament.  The next one is being held on Sunday, March 28th at 7pm.

Southern Bowl

Southern Indianapolis Bowling just got even better this week end with more great kids bowling birthday parties.

Southern Indianapolis Bowling

Youth Bowling was prominent at Expo Bowl this past weekend.  The State Youth Tournament began on February 21st and runs through the first weekend in May.  Expo Bowling Center is hosting the team event of this bowling tournament.  This premier event in Indianapolis will hole the opening ceremonies at 11am on Saturday February 27th.

Join us this Sunday for our 4th 9 Pin No Tap Bowling Tournament at 7pm.  The cost is only $20.00 per person.  There's an optional side pot for scratch average bowlers at a cost of only $5.00 per person.

Kids Bowling Parties and Laser Tag Parties are a great way to celebrate your child's birthday.  You can schedule a birthday party for either bowing or Laser Tag.  We also have a combination party where you can bowl and play laser tag.

Bowling in Indianapolis

Team building in Indianapolis is still an important part of Corporate Outings.  Expo Bowling Center has booked several companies to bowl and play laser tag.  Employees can play extreme laser tag and bowl against their bosses and co-workers.
Danny C said "Playing laser tag was a great way to let off steam.  I got to shoot my boss and it was legal!"

Youth Bowling Leagues in Indianapolis are going strong at the Expo Bowling Center.  We've had some great youth bowling over the last few weeks.  3 of our boys have shot high series; Daniel Niblock-746, Danny McMurtrey-732, Tyler Louden-708.  Zach Weidman bowled a 300 game in his prebowl for this Saturday!  Our bumper bowlers are doing well also.  5 year old Caiden Lundsford bowled a 197 series which is 98 average!

The Indiana High School Regionals were held at Terre Haute Bowl this past weekend.
Expo Bowl youth bowlers did very well with Franklin Central High School finishing 2nd and moving on to Semi-State.  Individually Dennis Lentz Jr., Tyler Louden, Danny McMurtrey, Shelby New, Samantha New, and Jessica New advanced to the semi finals.

Our Monday Night Mixed League began this past Monday.  It's not too late to join!
The next league we're forming is a Sunday Afternoon Doubles League which begins February 28th at 4pm.  Call Expo Bowl for more info at 317-787-3448 or go on line to sign up.

Laser Tag was going strong this past weekend with lots of birthday parties.  This is one of the most Fun Events in Indianapolis and is becoming more popular all the time.  Reservations are recommended if you'd like to play.
